Hot Tub Servicing & Repairs
Wight Spas & Pools offer a range of maintenance & servicing options; most manufactures recommend their products are serviced yearly to remove hard water or chemical deposits and any stubborn bacteria from deep within the plumbing. Our Gold service also includes a full inspection of components, inside the hot tub / swim spa too.
A Complete system flush – A chemical wash out of the pumps and pipework using a chemical cleaner to remove any build up of dirt and fat that may have accumulated.
A Clean and degrease filter elements – Using a supplied cleaning solution, note older filters may need replacing.
Also the following:

Empty, deep cleanse, wet vacuum and rinse of hot tub shell

Jets and pillows removed, inspected and cleaned

Full inspection of components – All components such as pump, blowers, etc are checked. Pumps checked for noise and leaks, etc

Check ozonator – clean and descale if necessary

Full plumbing inspection for leaks – All pipe work and glued joints are checked *

Check heater and circulation pumps is clear of scale
-
Tighten all unions and inspect, replace and seals if necessary

Hot Tub refilled with fresh water

Hot Tub started and all pumps primed of air

Initial water balance using customers chemicals

Professional winterisation service for your hot tub,
Preparing your hot tub correctly for winter is important to protect the plumbing, pumps and other components from freezing, while also removing the build-up of dirt, oils and scale within the system.
Our Spa Winterising Service provides a thorough clean, drain-down and preparation, leaving your spa safely powered down and ready for the colder months.
What’s included:

1. Pipework Flush & Chemical Treatment
Your spa must be full of water when we arrive.
We add Spa Flush to the water to help break down calcium, dirt, body oils and other contaminants that can build up within the pipework over time. Spa Shock and Anti-Scale are then added as part of the treatment process.
This helps loosen deposits within the plumbing before the spa is drained.

2. Filter Cleaning & Inspection
The filters are removed and placed into a specialist filter-cleaning solution to remove contaminants trapped within the filter fibres.
Your technician will inspect the filters and advise if replacement is recommended. Replacement filters can be supplied and purchased separately if required.

3. Drain, Clean & Vacuum
The spa is powered down and completely drained using a submersible pump.
While the spa is draining, the shell and surrounding areas are thoroughly cleaned. Once empty, we vacuum out any remaining water, including the jet lines, helping to remove residual dirty water from the pipework.

4. Pipework & Component Drain-Down
Once the spa has been emptied, the relevant pipework is disconnected from the pumps and heater to allow trapped water to drain from the system.
This is a key part of the winterisation process. Removing residual water from the plumbing helps prevent water from freezing inside the pipes during cold weather, which can otherwise cause damage to pipework, pumps, heaters and other components.

5. Cover Clean
Your hot tub cover is thoroughly wiped down and hosed clean before being left in place.

6. Spa Left Safely Powered Down
Once winterisation is complete, your spa will be left empty and powered down, ready for you to restart when required.

If your hot tub has been winterised or left unused over the colder months, our Spring Start-Up Service gets everything checked, cleaned and ready to use again.
Our technician will carry out the necessary checks and preparation to help ensure your hot tub is operating correctly and ready for the season ahead.
What’s included:

1. Full System Check
We inspect the hot tub and its key components, checking for any obvious issues that may have developed while the spa has been unused.
This includes checking the pumps, heater, control system, jets and other accessible components.

2. Reconnect & Refill
If the hot tub has been professionally winterised, we will reconnect the relevant plumbing and components before refilling the spa.
The spa will then be brought back up to the correct operating level.

3. Filter Check & Clean
Filters are inspected and cleaned as required. We will advise you if your filters are worn or require replacement.
Replacement filters can be supplied separately if required.

4. Water Treatment
Once the spa has been refilled, we will carry out the appropriate initial water treatment to help get the water back to a suitable starting point.
This includes checking and balancing the water where required.

5. Heating & Function Test
The spa is powered back up and the main functions are checked, including circulation, heating, pumps and jets.
We will identify and advise you of any faults or issues that may require further attention.

6. Final Advice
Once the start-up is complete, we’ll advise you of any maintenance requirements, replacement parts or further servicing that may be recommended.
Maintenance / Call outs
We offer call outs within working hours for £80.00 +VAT, every hour thereafter is charged at £40.00 +VAT per hour.
All call outs will receive a written report on findings plus if applicable a video explanation too. Any required work to fix issues will be discussed on site before work is undertaken.
